It’s been a wild ride for Cashrewards Founders Andrew and Lorica Clarke, having built the proudly Australian company from humble beginnings at their kitchen table pre-2014.
The maturing Australian online shopping landscape had some catching up to do on a global comparison, and identifying this opportunity lead Andrew down the stressful but rewarding path of building Cashrewards.
Andrew explained to SmartCompany, “I had come across the idea in the United States and while it was established there, the Australian marketplace, including the prevalence of e-commerce sites, was several years behind”.
That idea of incentivizing shoppers has since generated $550 million for Cashrewards partner retailers, including Dan Murphy’s and eBay.
The huge success hasn’t gone unnoticed. In 2016, Cashrewards was named the fastest growing technology company in Australia, winning the Deloitte Tech Fast 50 Awards with a staggering growth rate of 12,469% over the past three years, the best result since 2004 and the second highest result since the awards began in 2001.
In 2017, Cashrewards was selected as a finalist in the 2017 Telstra New South Wales Business Awards, and most recently, the trophy cabinet grew with the addition of fourth place in the 2017 Smart50 rankings which showcased Australia’s fastest growing small to medium sized businesses from 2016-2017.
We’re not stopping there though. With plenty of new and exciting plans ahead for our members in the coming months, now is definitely the time to sign up to Cashrewards and continue to enjoy the benefits of some extra cash in your pocket!
